Brief
Develop a three-page spread for VIS ART Magazine covering John Heartfield.
Process
For the first spread, I incorporated “5 Fingers Has the Hand, With 5 You Can” for the text. I played around with collaging his name and incorporating additional collage elements to the text leading into the story. Colors and type were selected based on historical research, borrowing from "Neue Jugend," the magazine found by Heartfield and his brother.
Spreads two and three incorporate the remainder of the text and include several pictures from Heartfield’s catalog that went well with the article's theme. A hidden TNT in the first three drop caps leads in from spread one to two.
