Brief
Combine the letter N of the alphabet with an image of a flower that begin with that letter (eg: N, nymphiodes). Only Montserrat Black typeface may be used, one color, and one flower.
Process
I googled flowers that started with N and found images and settled on nymphoides.
Next I used my sketchbook to create pencil drawings of the flower. Then overlayed tracing paper to draw the letter over the flower looking for harmony. Before heading to Adobe Illustrator to finalize my work.
In Illustrator I used the pen tools to trace the scanned in pencil drawing of the flower. Working to reduce it down to its basic shape. Then combined the outline of the letter N and the flower shape using the pathfinder tool to create a compound shape.
